Description
The Compact NS MCCB family (part of Schneider Electric’s Pact Series) is designed to protect electrical circuits and equipment against faults such as overload, short‑circuit and earth‑leakage conditions. Unlike basic thermal‑magnetic breakers, Compact NS MCCBs are typically equipped with electronic trip units (MicroLogic) that offer adjustable protection settings, built‑in power and energy measurement, and optional communication and coordination capabilities for modern power management.
These breakers are built for medium‑ to high‑current applications (commonly 630 A to 3200 A), and are available in fixed, plug‑in or withdrawable mounting types. Both 3‑pole and 4‑pole configurations allow phase‑to‑phase and neutral protection depending on system requirements. With high breaking capacities (up to ~200 kA at 415 V AC) and robust compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC 60947‑2), Compact NS MCCBs are ideal for main feeders, distribution boards and industrial panelboards.
Compact NS also supports a wide line of field‑installable accessories, such as shunt trips, undervoltage releases, auxiliary contacts, earth‑leakage modules and communication kits for integration with building or industrial automation systems.
